1ST PLACE 6TH GRADE DIVISION WAS RYTES SILVER 2016
1ST PLACE 7TH GRADE DIVISION WAS HOUSTON HOOPS 2015
This event did not have many teams but there was plenty of action to go around and many athletes making a name and a statement. In the 4th and 5th division, the cowboys played 4 games on Saturday playing in both 5th and 6th grade division. Making guess appearances with the cowboys was Noah, Remy and Lil’J they call him. Now if Remy and Lil J played there age 4th grade they would be a beast on that level remember you heard it here. Reshard was running the show played very well getting to the basket with Deseas Green shooting the ball. Now this kid plays very hard. With the help of the additional kids the Cowboys rolled past Dgib hoops to win the 5th grade championship.
D Gib was very strong this weekend. They small but got a lot of fight. Marcus was shooting lights out this weekend this kid get better every time he hit the floor. The floor general sereal and Johnson was steady all game. This is a top 5th grade team that can beat you. Team to Watch
Rytes Warrior black 11u was not the team you’ve seen in the past but Coach Holt and the coaches have put back together a good group and the kids work very hard. Evan very fast with the ball played well. They have the big Christian Williams and Brayson Harris in the middle getting better as they play more and more games. Deseni Burton Learning to play the point guard position and he’s getting better at running a team.
Rytes Warrior Black 10 the team that NO 4th or 5th grade team wanna see. They play hard they are clearly the best team in Houston in the 4th grade division. Rytes played dgib that ended with a 2pt lost. Need more experience and learn to close games when playing up. Eden Holt ran the show great IQ, Noah can flat out play, Jamal very athletic wing can do it all to be so light. The Derrick McDonald in the middle is a beast that knows the game. A team to watch
Rytes Warrior Silver 6th grade coached by Don, won first place championship. This is a very talented team with a will to win. Trenton Williams had a great weekend on both end of the floor leasding his team to several wins, Myles Sims great talent, Tate Toby and Garrett Ary was very impressive on the court. JJ made his appearance with the 6th grade, he’s talented kid that needs to play his age level and dominate. Don and DJ Anderson does a great job.
TKO Select played hard great job coach getting the kids to play hard.
Houston Elite 11u played up and played very well Played GCBC and Rytes Silver to overtime games. They very athletic in every position. Brandon Burrell running the team and Max Evans Slashing to the basket and Doc Nelson simply having his way on the floor make them hard to beat. The bigs Fabian White and Jarred Vanderbelt are getting better everyday and makes its very hard for anyone to come in the middle. Very good bench and roll player. Team to watch..
GCBC was very well coach team with some good pieces. Knox Hallum can do it all inside and out and Marquise is super athletic with the ball. This team will surprise a lot of teams. Team to watch..
Team Swagger playing up this weekend is talented in every position there up and down style of play make them hard to stop. They been together for a while so they have the Chemistry. Coach Battle no stranger to the AAU know talent and has put a group that can compete for D1 nationals coming off a D2 Nationals Championship. Team to watch..
Rytes Warrior Black 7th grade which was a mixed bag of Rytes Warrior &th graders was simply to much for anybody to handle in Texas. Playing up with Carson, Malik and Willie they dominate the game. Don does a great job of getting these kids to play hard and together. Carson is a man among boys and already has a name with his peers. Malik the shooter sometimes having a hand up is not enough. this is a team to watch.
Houston Hoops coach by Christian Begg does a great job. Has a lot of talent on the floor and plays hard. Team to watch
Good Event…
